finch: (in trouble again)

I like the idea of having an unbroken, undistracted streak of 750 word days.

In practice, I'm not so good with the reality of not getting distracted, not running short, not forgetting on a busy evening.

I've given up on undistracted, because trying not go get distracted got me to a point where I didn't write at all if I was on AIM or at work or waiting for delivery or whatever. Because I didn't want to get distracted, so I was waiting for the Perfect Time, which of course Never Came.

I think I would be okay with not hitting the 750 word goal, though that hasn't been an issue since I picked it up again, so we'll see.

How about you guys? Which goals are really important, and which are nice but not necessary?

not forgetting on a busy evening

Would it help if you activated the setting where the site e-mails you a reminder at your time of choice? I know I wouldn't be on my awesome streak w/o the reminder e-mails, for which I am very grateful. If I'm not going to write right when the e-mail comes in I keep it unread (& then every time I look at my inbox & go, "Ooh! New mail!" I am reminded again...).

I don't think I have any goals except to just keep going. I don't know if that's good (not stressing myself unduly) or bad (too unambitious)!
